چکیده
We show that two-loop corrections to the finite temperature effective potential in the MSSM can have a dramatic effect on the strength of the electroweak phase transition, making it more strongly first order. The change in the order parameter v/T c can be as large as 75% of the one-loop daisy improved result. This effect can be decisive to widen the region in parameter space where erasure of the created baryons by sphaleron processes after the transition is suppressed and hence, where electroweak baryogenesis might be successful. We find an allowed region with tan β < ∼ 4.5 and a Higgs boson with standard couplings and mass below 80 GeV within the reach of LEP II.

On finite–temperature and –density radiative corrections to the neutrino effective potential in the early Universe Abstract Finite–temperature and –density radiative corrections to the neutrino effective potential in the otherwise CP –symmetric early Universe are considered in the real–time approach of Thermal Field Theory. A consistent perturbation theory endowed with the hard thermal loop res...
متن کاملThreshold corrections to the MSSM finite - temperature Higgs potential
In the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) we calculate the oneloop finite-temperature corrections from the squarks-Higgs bosons sector, reconstruct the effective two-Higgs-doublet potential and study possibilities of the electroweak phase transition in the full MSSM (mH± , tgβ, At,b, μ, mQ, mU , mD) parameter space. At large values of At,b and μ of around 1 TeV, favored indirectly by ...

We analyse the one-loop fermionic contribution for the scalar effective potential in the temperature dependent Yukawa model. In order to regularize the model a mix between dimensional and analytic regularization procedures is used. We find a general expression for the fermionic contribution in arbitrary spacetime dimension. It is found that in D = 3 this contribution is finite.
متن کاملComplete Two-loop Dominant Corrections to the Mass of the Lightest CP-even Higgs Boson in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
Using an effective potential approach, we compute two-loop radiative corrections to the MSSM lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass Mh0 to O(α2 t ) for arbitrary left-right top-squark mixing and tanβ. We find that these corrections can increase Mh0 by as much as 5 GeV; assuming a SUSY scale of 1 TeV, the upper bound on the Higgs boson mass is Mh0 ≈ 129 ± 5 GeV for the top quark pole mass 175 ± 5 GeV...
متن کاملv 1 1 A pr 1 99 8 Corrections to Finite - Size Scaling in the Lattice N - Vector Model for N = ∞
We compute the corrections to finite-size scaling for the N -vector model on the square lattice in the large-N limit. We find that corrections behave as logL/L2. For tree-level improved hamiltonians corrections behave as 1/L2. In general l-loop improvement is expected to reduce this behaviour to 1/(L2 log L). We show that the finite-size-scaling and the perturbative limit do not commute in the ...
